Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have — written to be read, not skimmed past.

1. Who we are and scope

Ivoirelabs is an independent game studio based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy covers our games — currently HexRush Fusion — the website ivoirelabs.com, and our player support services.

2. Data we collect

Account data

When you first launch the game, Firebase Authentication (a Google service) creates an account for you. Depending on how you sign in, we receive:

  • a unique player identifier (Firebase UID);
  • for anonymous accounts: nothing else;
  • for linked accounts (e.g. Google): your email address and display name from that provider.

Gameplay data

  • level attempts, runs, scores and campaign progress;
  • energy balance and daily-challenge participation;
  • in-game display name and leaderboard entries;
  • game settings such as language.

Technical data

  • device model, operating system version and app version;
  • IP address (used transiently for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention);
  • crash and error diagnostics;
  • a push-notification token if you allow notifications.

Support data

If you contact support, we collect the name, email address and message you provide, plus optional details such as your player ID and app version so we can investigate your issue.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or files.

3. How we use data

PurposeExamplesLegal basis
Operate the game Save progress, sync across devices, run leaderboards and daily challenges Performance of a contract
Keep play fair and secure Integrity checks on score submissions, rate limiting, ban management Legitimate interest
Player support Answer your requests, investigate bugs and account issues Performance of a contract
Show and reward ads Deliver ads, verify rewarded-ad completions, measure ad performance Consent / legitimate interest, depending on your region
Notifications Daily-challenge reminders you opted into Consent
Improve the game Aggregate difficulty and progression statistics Legitimate interest

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

4. Advertising partners

HexRush Fusion is free and supported by ads, including optional rewarded ads. Ads are delivered by third-party networks that act as independent controllers of the data they process, such as device identifiers and ad interaction data:

Where required by your region's law, the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can switch to non-personalized ads. You can also reset or limit your device advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.

5. When we share data

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers that host and run our backend — server hosting in the European Union and Google Firebase (authentication, push notifications);
  • Ad networks listed in Section 4, to deliver and verify ads;
  • Authorities, when required by applicable law;
  • A successor entity, if the studio is merged or acquired — this policy would continue to apply.

Leaderboards show your display name and scores to other players; they never show your email or player ID.

6. Retention and deletion

  • Account and gameplay data are kept while your account is active.
  • If you delete your account, personal data is removed from our production systems immediately and expires from encrypted backups within 90 days.
  • Support conversations are kept for up to 24 months after resolution.
  • Server logs containing IP addresses are rotated within 30 days.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK), you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data (also available directly in-game: Settings → Account → Delete account);
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time (e.g. notifications, personalized ads);
  • lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, use the support page or email privacy@ivoirelabs.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic between the game and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Access to production systems is restricted and logged, databases are not exposed to the public internet, and backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data like we'd want ours treated.

9. Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our servers are hosted in the European Union. Some partners (such as Google and Unity) may process data in other countries; where EU data is transferred internationally, it is protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be announced in-game or on this page, and the date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
